UCHS Date Markers

Did you know that you could purchase date markers for your home indicating the approximate year that your home was constructed through the University City Historical Society (UCHS)?
UCHS sells metal date markers ($35/members, $50/non-members) that announce a house’s construction date with a unique design connected to the National Register District it is in. If your property is not within boundaries of a historic district, they offer generic date markers. When you visit their website, you can access their extensive database to learn more about the properties with historic designation, including those within the Southeast Spruce Hill Historic District. They will confirm that you are ordering the right date for an address. Additionally, UCHS offers free installation of the marker. There is about a 4-5 week turnaround time.
Check out the website: https://ucityhistorical.wpcomstaging.com/uchs-date-markers/
or email directly at info@uchs.net and they’ll help you start the process.
In addition, you can stop by the UCHS table to learn more at Spruce Hill Community Association’s Annual MayFair on Saturday, May 9. So many vendors, crafters, food options, musical acts, kid-friendly activities, and more to experience in our backyard!
