The Spruce Hill Community Association is an all-volunteer organization
that brings neighbors together to strengthen and improve Spruce Hill.
Please join us and get involved on a committee, as a block representative,
or on a special task force to tackle specific community concerns.
Here are some current volunteer opportunities:
Education, child care issues
Young families settling in Spruce Hill are finding it harder and harder
to obtain child care or after-school care, and the current baby boom
also has raised concerns about future enrollments and class size at
the Penn Alexander School. Join members of the Education, Schools & Youth committee as they work on a broad range of responses to
these issues. Contact
Mary Goldman.
Become a block representative
The community association acts as the neighborhood’s eyes and
ears. Lend us yours by volunteering to become a block representative.
Block reps help to organize cleanups, welcome new neighbors onto the
block, alert the association to local concerns or zoning issues, and
spread information about community issues. If you would like to volunteer,
or if you would like to get in touch with your block rep, contact Cindy Roberts.
