The Spruce Hill Community Association is a
volunteer organization of neighbors committed to strengthening the
Spruce Hill community and to
enhancing the quality of neighborhood life for all residents.
The Board of Directors meets on the second Tuesday of each month (except
for July, August and December) at the SHCA center, 257 S. 45th St.
Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are open to all. Minutes of board
meetings are available from the secretary or online. Committees set
their own meeting schedules.
The SHCA is governed by an Executive Board consisting of five officers
and 20 members of the Board of Directors. Officers are elected annually;
10 directors each are elected annually for two-year terms. [Note:
Bylaws were revised in 2005 and the board of directors is downsizing
from 30 to 20 members in 2006.] For more information about governance,
see the association’s
bylaws (pdf). |
